Oral Cancer Screenings

During each visit, your dentist and hygienist will talk to you about your health history and will examine you for signs of mouth and/or throat cancer. Fluoride Varnish
PROTECTING TEETH WITH FLUORIDE
Regular dental cleanings are the foundation of good oral health. At every cleaning, our hygienists will perform a periodontal assessment to determine which type of cleaning will be best to maintain your oral health. This may include a debridement to help remove heavy calculus or buildup resulting from many years without a dental cleaning. Sometimes, a deeper cleaning or non-surgical scaling and root planning (SRP) is necessary when it is determined that there is bone loss surrounding the tooth. Scaling and root planning helps to reduce inflammation and bacterial debris below the gumline, leaving a smooth surface for the gum tissue to reattach to.

Dental Sealants

The grooves, pits, and crevices found on your teeth can be prime spots for cavities, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Dental sealants offer an additional layer of protection by sealing these vulnerable areas. This procedure is quick, noninvasive, and usually requires no anesthetic. Your dentist will first start by removing any demineralization or staining in the grooves to ensure that no cavities are present and to provide the best surface for the sealant. Once clean we apply a thin, protective coat of material.
